隨著社會經(jīng)濟化的高速度發(fā)展、工業(yè)化進程的進一步加快，導致工業(yè)進程中產(chǎn)生大量的氣態(tài)污染物（主要以含油漆、含硫、含氮、含氧的有機物或無機物），形成了工業(yè)廢氣。未經(jīng)處理的工業(yè)廢氣排放到大氣中，會嚴重污染環(huán)境并影響附近居民的生活質(zhì)量。例如，會使人感到不適，出現(xiàn)頭痛、頭昏、惡心、嘔吐、食欲不振和精神不集中等癥狀。另外，對人的呼吸系統(tǒng)、循環(huán)系統(tǒng)、消化系統(tǒng)和生殖系統(tǒng)也有影響。
